Every watch that comes into Brasspoint goes through the same intake process regardless of service type: a visual and functional check, a written note of findings, and a confirmed scope and price before anything is agreed. From that point, the job follows the process appropriate to its service type — no generic workflow applied across different problems.
Parts are sourced or confirmed in stock before turnaround dates are given. Technical measurements are taken before and after work where relevant. Collection is accompanied by documentation or verbal notes explaining what was done and what was found. This sequence doesn't change job to job.
Precision Regulation & Timing

Fine adjustment of rate across several positions using calibrated equipment, paired with a movement clean where needed. Suited to watches that run fast or slow but are otherwise mechanically sound. Returned with a printed timing record showing rate deviation, amplitude, and beat error.
Process Steps
Intake check — visual and functional assessment, rate tested in hand
Timing machine measurement — rate, amplitude, and beat error across positions
Adjustment — hairspring and regulation index set to target rate
Movement clean (where indicated) and reassembly
Final timing run and print — rate record prepared for the customer
Water-Resistance Restoration

Replacement of seals and a pressure test to bring older sports and dive-style watches back to dependable everyday use. Helpful before travel or active wear. Completed within the week for most models — turnaround confirmed at intake.

Intake — model checked, gasket profile confirmed or sourced
Caseback and crown removed, old gaskets extracted and inspected
New gaskets fitted and case reassembled to torque specification
Wet-dry pressure test performed at rated depth
Pass confirmed, watch returned with notes
Crystal Replacement

Fitting of a new mineral or sapphire crystal to clear scratches and restore a sharp view of the dial. A neat, contained job that refreshes the whole watch. Stock-dependent turnaround confirmed at intake — no dates are promised before crystal availability is checked.

Intake — case diameter, bezel type, and crystal profile identified
Stock checked; turnaround date confirmed once availability is known
Old crystal removed with care for bezel and dial
New crystal fitted and pressed or secured to case specification
Watch inspected and returned with collection notes
